Color Tools Scripts
HyperCard 2.2 and 2.3 come with a Color Tools stack containing a set of External Commands (XCMDs). These XCMDs allow you to add color to your HyperCard stacks. The XCMD that does most of the work is AddColor.
Colour is a memory hog, so you need to set your HyperCard preferred memory requirement to at least 2500 KB.
AddColor reads information that is stored in the stack about the current card. With this information AddColor colorizes the card. AddColor gets installed into every stack that you colorize.
The other XCMDs and scripts in the Color Tools stack allow you to add and edit the color in your stack while you are developing it. You will create the information that the AddColor XCMD needs in order to colorize the card.
When you use the Color Tools a palette appears. When the palette is showing you can choose the colours for fields and buttons as well as place pict resources on the background or card layer. You can select the new paint tools in HyperCard 2.3 and make your own colour paintings to save as PICT resourses in your stack.
